One of the possible scenarios that has crossed my mind, is that perhaps Haleigh 'disappeared' over a drug debt to their suppliers. (Maybe or maybe not Cousin Joe was their supplier.) Either way, if this is indeed the case, since they are facing what is the equivalent of 'life sentences' for drug charges, to admit this is the real scenario would be the same as 'pleading guilty' to the drug charges that they are charged with.
Consider this, If their drug supplier took Haleigh, then their drug charges create a quagmire/catch 22, as they are not going to tell the truth and state that, because as stupid as they are, they probably still think they stand a chance at being found not guilty of their drug charges; (they did plead 'not guilty after all)'. ...And if this is true, they know that because they have sat on information so long, (which every minute would put Haleigh in more danger), they would also be held responsible for what happens/happened to Haleigh because of that.
Perhaps Tommy is aware of this. Perhaps that is why Tommy is trying to make a deal with the 'thrown into the river' story, as it doesn't take a genius to figure out that in Florida, anyone tied to cinder blocks in a river would be eaten by gators and after a very limited amount of time, there would be no remains to find.
If the drug supplier took Haleigh, there is a slim chance, but a chance nonetheless, that she is still alive. ...But daylight is burning.
LE REALLY needs to find their supplier(s), and do so with a quickness.
Also consider this... Misty, Tommy and Ronald were busted with almost 4 grand in drugs at the time of their arrest; and that's not counting what they already sold to people other than the undercover agents. That's quite a chunk of change, especially for 'trailer dwellers' like themselves.
Perhaps LE should have a little talk with each one of them and tell them that they are investigating IF their drug supplier(s) took Haleigh. And if the Croslins and/or Cummings did NOT divulge that information, (and they find out it is true), they WILL also be charged with whatever happens/happened to Haleigh during the time she was taken by their suppliers. (At the very least, kidnapping. And as much as I hate to say or think it...possibly rape and/or possibly death in the commission of a felony, obstructing an investigation etc., etc.)
If they respond with the right information, (who and where their suppliers are, and what they know about the possibility of them taking Haleigh), let them make some sort of deal, (concerning their drug charges); as inside or out of prison, chances are, most of the members closely involved with Haleigh's disappearance probably aren't going to live very long or happy lives anyway. (That part sure didn't take a whole lot of 'phychic intuition' LOL).
But for some reason, I feel Haleigh is still alive. ...For now.
