Life path

Know your life path and find out about your real opportunities in life!

Learn Numerology

Learning Numerology can be fun and rewarding. The Life Path is the major lesson to be learned, the central focus in a person`s life. The Expression represents a person`s potential natural abilities, whilst the Soul Urge represents the person`s inner nature, what he/she wants to do or be. The LP is the most important of these and represents about 40% of the whole, while the Expression accounts for 30% and the Soul urge 20%. The remaining 10% is made up of other factors, particularly the Day of Birth.

Numerology & The Life Path

What do the Numbers Mean?

Before going on to what the numbers mean, it would be helpful if you first found out what your Life Path number is. To work out your personal number you simply add together your year, month and day of birth and reduce the total until a single digit. However, as there are two Master Numbers in numerology (11 and 22) the adding up must be done in a special way. For someone born on December 9th, 1946 the correct way to set out the life path number equation is:

Year 1946

Month 12

Day 9

-------

1967 = 1+9+6+7= 23, and 2+3=5.

This person has a Life-Path of 5. The reason the adding up has to be done in this particular way becomes apparent with an example using Master Numbers.A good friend of mine was born on February 29th, 1944 (a leap year baby). To work out her Life Path we set it out as before:

Year 1944

Month 2

Day 29

--------

1975 = 1+9+7+5= 22

22 is a Master Number, so we do not reduce it any further. If we had added up her numbers by stringing them out in a row we would have found a different answer:2+9+2+1+9+4+4 = 31, and 3+1 = 4.

By adding up the numbers this way we lose the Master Number. To avoid losing them make sure you add the numbers up in the right way every time. Now we will go on to what each Life-Path number means. Remember that your Life Path is your central focus, what you have come into this life to learn. If, at this stage, you are not aware of your purpose in life, this knowledge alone could make your future that much easier.

    Life-Path 1

  • This number stands for individualization, originality, attainment and independence. Someone with this Life Path has to learn to "go it alone" and stand on his own two feet. Once secure in his independence, he can progress to attainment, by using his abilities in an original, creative, pioneering manner.

It is the number of the leader and the striver.

    Life-Path 2

  • Number 2 has the keyword Adaptability. The independence of the 1 is important, but there are other people around also, so we move on to the cooperation and peace-making of the 2. A 2 will fit in and follow the lead of others. He must learn consideration of others and how to serve others with sensitivity and love.

It is the number of the good wife, the go-between, or the ideal diplomat.

Prince Philip is a perfect example of someone with a 2 LP as he can never fill the number one position, but is perfectly adapted for his role in life.

    Life-Path 3

  • Number 3 comes next with the keywords of harmony, self-expression and the joy of living.

A person har to learn, as an individual and group member, his abilities at expressing himself. This can come out in some creative way, through writing, singing, music and so on, but also in the expressing of his feelings, love, affection and friendship.

This is probably the most joyous of numbers and has a certain lightness attached to it.

People with this LP can often be the life and soul of a party.

    Life-Path 4

  • number 4 is represented by the keywords limitation andorganisation.

life is not always full of song and laughter, so 4 represents self-discipline, hard work, routine and limitation. We have all limitations and the lesson of this number is to live in harmony with these limitations, rather than to fight against them.

By using patience, dependability, organization and hard work, people with this number ultimately achieve success.

    Life-Path 5

  • Number 5 has the keyword freedom. There is a time for expansion and change, and the number 5 gives great and unexpected changes, along with considerably variety.

Someone with this LP will be versatile and talented in a number of directions.

The desire for travel will be strong and life will be full exciting. However, someone on this LP must learn to use this freedom ina constructive manner.

They will be tempted to scatter their forces in many directions and to waste and misuse their talents.

They must learn to accept change and to discard what is pastand gone.

They must avoid being hemmed in, and can only grow by accepting change and uncertainty.

    Life-Path 6

  • Number 6 is represented by responsibility and adjustment.

People with this number are born with the ability to help and comfort others.

Others will come with their problems, so someone on this Life Path will often find himself responsible for far more than his share.

A "6" works quietly and efficiently, applying the law of balance to adjust inharmonious situations.

The friendship and love sent out by people on this Life Path always comes back from the people helped, making this a loving, friendly and rewarding LP to be on.

    Life-Path 7

  • Number 7 is indicated by understanding and wisdom.

It is a quiet, introspective number and people ruled by it use their abilities at analyzing to search deep into hidden truths and mysteries.

It is a spiritual number, so a desire for material success can lead the person off the track.

People with this number will spend time on their own, on occasions, so must learn not to feel isolated.

People with LP 7 often appear "different" to others, as they have their own way of doing things.

    Life-Path 8

  • Number 8 has the keywords material freedom.

After the time of introspection (of the 7)the individual has to move on to practical matters. 8 is the number of business, money and executive ability. People on this LP will be dealing with and handling money.

They will be concerned with status, power and success. They are prepared to work hard to achieve this success, but could appear to be single-minded and stubborn to others.

Once they have achieved the success they desire, these people are often very generous, but they need to satisfy their own material needs first.

    Life-Path 9

  • Number 9 is represented by humanitarianism.

On this LP the individual has to learn the satisfaction of giving to others. This is not an easy lesson as the individual will be used at times, and may have to give up personal ambitions if the demands are worthwhile.

His satisfactions will come from the giving, either in helping others, or of giving of himself in some form of creative expression, as this is the number of artists and thinkers who are inspired by universal truths.

Now we come to the two Master numbers which are on a higher spiritual plane than the others.

    Life-Path 11

  • Number 11 is the number of illumination and inspirations.

People on this Life Path are dreamers and visionaries. They must work to develop their intuition and to inspire others by their own example, spreading illumination for the benefit of others.

This is no easy task and many people with this number, although aware of their special abilities, are unable to make practical use of them.

There is always a certain amount of nervous tension present in these people

    Life-Path 22

  • Number 22 is the Master Builder. This represents the practical idealist who can not only see the visions of the 11, but can put them into practical use.

This number possesses enormous power, giving the potential to achieve for the benefit of all mankind.

Unfortunately, with all this potential, most 22`s achieve only a minute fraction of what they could.

Like the 11, people on this Life Path are always surrounded by nervous tension created by the higher energies they are exposed to.
