Do I have psychic abilities? An experience of mine

I am coming to an end of my time at secondary school and I am particularly interested in the supernatural and have done a lot of research about it. just the other week, I came home to an empty house. I was expecting it as dad is hardly in anyway but i saw a piece of paper on the side and I looked over at it but nothing was written on it. I thought this was pretty strange but i just ignored it assuming that dad forgot to write the note. I started to make myself a cup of tea and then just as I touched the kettle handle, I heard my dad's voice in my head say, 'not going to be back till late don't wait up,' and then i saw him write it down whilst saying it out loud. it wasn't particularly vivid, more of an image in my head, but it was definitely his voice and him that i was seeing. After this, I went back over to the paper, picked it up and there it said, 'not going to be home till late don't wait up.' I am so confused, is this actually a psychic ability or just my mind playing tricks on me?
